Important Information
- Required Information: Provide your Hyatt account number and last name.
- Upgrade Type: The award covers standard suites only. It does not cover premium suites, specialty suites, villas or residences.
- Availability: You can confirm the upgrade at booking as long as the hotel still sells a standard suite on your dates. So please check availability before you buy.
- Eligible Bookings: Use the award on cash, points or Hyatt Privé bookings made directly with Hyatt. However, third-party bookings, group bookings and free night certificate stays do not qualify.
- Usage: Each award covers one room and one stay of up to 7 consecutive nights. You lose any nights you don’t use.
- Guest Requirement: You must stay in the room yourself.
- Expiration: Check out on or before the expiration date. Otherwise, the award expires unused.
- Excluded Properties: Hyatt Place, Hyatt Select, Hyatt Studios, Caption by Hyatt, Mr & Mrs Smith and a few other hotels do not accept the award.
Note: The award does not cover the room cost. First, book your stay with cash or points. Then apply the award to upgrade to a standard suite.
How to Use Your Suite Upgrade Award
For New Reservations:
Once the award appears in your account, log in to Hyatt.com and search for your hotel and dates. Next, find “Eligible Awards” and choose “Suite Upgrade Award” to see the available suites. Finally, select your suite and complete the booking. Hyatt confirms the upgrade right away.
For Existing Reservations:
- Contact Hyatt customer service
- Ask them to apply your Suite Upgrade Award and give your reservation number
- Enjoy your confirmed suite!
Good to Know:
- Your reservation on the Hyatt website or app may still show the original room type for a while. This is normal.
- If you cancel, Hyatt returns the award to your account with the same expiration date.
- You also can’t use a Suite Upgrade Award and a Guest of Honor Award on the same stay.
