Marriott Q3 2026 Promotion: Up to 4,500 Points Per Stay

Marriott Q3 2026 promotion – earn up to 4,500 bonus points per stay with More at Resorts

Marriott Bonvoy has opened registration for the Marriott Q3 2026 promotion, officially branded “More at Resorts” — the program’s second global offer of the year, running from late Q3 into Q4. From September 22 through November 22, 2026, every paid stay of two or more nights earns 1,500 bonus points, and stays at participating resorts earn another 3,000 — up to 4,500 bonus points per stay, with no cap on the number of stays.

On its own, that’s a modest offer. But the timing matters more than the points: the earning window closes 39 days before Marriott’s December 31 status cutoff, which makes it the last chance this year to earn bonus points and elite night credits from the same stays. Here’s what you get, how to squeeze the most out of it, and how to use it to lock in your 2027 Marriott status.

At roughly 0.7 cents per Marriott point, that’s about $10 for a standard stay and $31 for a resort stay. Nobody is rebooking a vacation around that. The value comes from volume and stacking, which we get to below.

The Fine Print That Actually Matters

  • Register before your first eligible stay. Stays completed before registration earn nothing, even if they fall inside the window.
  • Paid stays only, on points-eligible rates booked through Marriott channels. Award nights, Cash + Points, Free Night Awards and most third-party bookings are excluded.
  • A stay is consecutive nights at the same property. Two back-to-back reservations at the same hotel will almost certainly merge into one stay — don’t count on splitting.
  • One room per property per stay earns the bonus.
  • Stays that straddle the window count as long as at least one night falls inside it.
  • Members who earn airline miles instead of points are not eligible.
  • Excluded brands: Bulgari, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club and the residence clubs.

What Counts as a “Resort”?

Marriott hasn’t published a separate list for this promotion. The “participating resorts” language points to properties flagged as resorts in Marriott’s resort directory. The practical check: search the property on Marriott.com, look for “Resort” in the hotel name or the resort label on the listing, and confirm the promotion shows on the booking page. Screenshot it before checkout — if the 3,000 doesn’t post within eight weeks, that screenshot is your evidence for a missing-points claim.

Strategy: How to Maximize the Marriott Q3 2026 Promotion

1. Register today, even with nothing booked. It takes 30 seconds, and forgetting is the number-one way people lose promo points.

Registering for the Marriott Q3 2026 promotion in the Marriott Bonvoy app

2. Think in two-night stays. The bonus is per stay, not per night, so a 2-night stay and a 7-night stay earn the same 1,500. If you have a 4-night trip, split it across two properties: two stays = 3,000 points, or 9,000 if both are resorts.

3. Route stays through resorts when the rate is close. The resort bonus triples the payout. It doesn’t justify paying $150 more per night, but when a Courtyard and a resort-tagged Sheraton are within $30 of each other, the resort wins.

4. Stack everything that stacks. Elite bonus, welcome gift points, co-brand card earning, and any targeted offers sitting in your Promotions tab (6-stay and 12-stay bonuses typically stack with global promos). Check the app before you book.

Base rate is 10 points per dollar at most brands; Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites and Element earn 5x.

Why This Is the Best Year-End Window to Lock In 2027 Marriott Status

Marriott’s elite year ends December 31. The tier you hold on that date is your status through February 2028. Because the Q3 2026 promotion closes on November 22, nights completed between September 22 and November 22 are the last ones this year that earn both elite night credits and promotional points. After November 22 you can still finish your nights, but you’ll do it without 1,500–4,500 points per stay on top.

TierNights needed in 2026What you keep in 2027
Gold2525% bonus points, 2 p.m. late checkout, enhanced room upgrades
Platinum5050% bonus, lounge access and breakfast, 4 p.m. checkout, Annual Choice Benefit

The Math: Keeping Platinum With 10 Nights on the Books

The most common case we see in Q4: you earned Platinum last year, you’re sitting at 10 nights this year, and there’s no more travel on the calendar. You need 40 more nights by December 31 to keep Platinum. Booking those 40 nights as 20 two-night stays inside the promo window through our Marriott Mattress Run service posts the following to your account:

Earning lineCalculationPoints
Base points (50% Platinum bonus included)~300/night × 40 nights~12,000
Platinum welcome gift500/stay × 20 stays10,000
More at Resorts stay bonus (locked in)1,500 × 20 stays30,000
Resort bonus (when the partner property is a participating resort)up to 3,000 × 20 staysup to 60,000
Locked-in total~52,000
Total with full resort bonusup to ~112,000

And the part the points table doesn’t show: 40 posted elite nights take you from 10 to 50. That re-qualifies Platinum through February 2028 and triggers your 50-night Annual Choice Benefit — these are real posted nights, so milestones fire.

Chasing Ambassador? The $23K Spend Gap

Our Marriott Bonvoy Qualifying Spend service closes the gap at $500 per $1,000 of qualifying spend, processed through partner hotels’ suite, banquet and event bookings under your Bonvoy number and posted within 1–3 weeks.

Action Checklist

  1. Register for the Q3 promotion (More at Resorts) now — 30 seconds.
  2. Open the app, check your elite night count, and subtract it from 25 / 50 / 75 / 100.
  3. Check your Promotions tab for targeted offers and register those too.
  4. Book any real trips as 2-night stays, at resorts where the rate is close.
  5. Fill the remaining gap with mattress run nights before November 22 — and add qualifying spend if Ambassador is the goal.
