FAQs — Marriott MMP Rate
1. What exactly is the Marriott MMP Rate?
The Marriott MMP Rate is a Marriott Explore / Friends & Family rate that can offer up to 60% off standard room rates at participating properties. It is not a public
coupon code. Access is linked digitally to an eligible Marriott Bonvoy account.
2. How is the 2026 digital system different from the old PDF form?
The old paper or PDF authorization form process has been replaced by digital authorization linked to your Marriott Bonvoy account. At check-in, your booking name
should match your photo ID, and the hotel can verify the rate through the account-linked access.
3. Do I need a Marriott Bonvoy account?
Yes. You need an active Marriott Bonvoy account so MMP access can be linked digitally. The name on your Bonvoy account should match the photo ID you will use at
check-in.
4. How do I book once my MMP access is active?
Go to Marriott.com, search your destination and dates, open “Special Rates,” choose “Corp/Promo Code,” and enter MMP. The discounted rate will appear only for
eligible hotels and dates.
5. Can I use the Marriott MMP Rate at every hotel?
No. MMP availability depends on the hotel, date, occupancy, and Marriott’s rate controls. Always check your target hotel and dates before assuming the MMP rate will
be available.
6. Does the MMP Rate earn Bonvoy points and elite night credits?
Eligible stays may earn Marriott Bonvoy points and qualifying elite night credits. However, final earning and benefit rules are controlled by Marriott Bonvoy program
terms and hotel-level interpretation.
7. Can I book for someone else?
No. The booking must be in your own name, and the authorized traveler must personally stay. The name should match the photo ID presented at check-in.
Other key rules include personal travel only, no no-shows, matching photo ID, and following hotel conduct expectations.
8. What is the difference between MMP and MMF?
MMP usually offers stronger potential savings and stricter rules. MMF usually offers a smaller discount but may have broader availability. If you are unsure which one
fits your trip, read our Marriott MMP vs MMF guide before ordering.
