How Does the Hyatt FRIEND Rate Work?
After purchase, we register your account against an authorized Hyatt associate. Once activated, you book directly on Hyatt.com:
- Log into your World of Hyatt account on Hyatt.com
- Enter destination and travel dates
- Open Special Rates and click Special Offer Code
- Enter the code: FRIEND
- When available, the Friends and Family Rate displays as the first rate option
- Complete the booking — pay Hyatt directly at the hotel
Booking Rules & Limitations
- The guest at check-in must match the registered World of Hyatt member account name
- Maximum 7 nights per booking; maximum 3 rooms per booking, per night, per stay
- Credit card required to guarantee the reservation
- Cash bookings only — points awards and free night certificates do not combine with the FRIEND rate

4. Can I book a room for someone else?
No. The guest staying must be the World of Hyatt account holder we register, and the hotel checks photo ID at check-in. Furthermore, Hyatt does not permit reselling or transferring the rate.
5. Is this authorization refundable?
No. Once we register your account with the colleague system, the authorization becomes non-refundable and non-transferable.
6. Does the FRIEND code work at AMR Collection (Secrets, Dreams, Zoëtry)?
No — instead, those properties use a separate code (HYATTFNF) on amrcollection.com. Contact us if you need access to that program.
7. Are there blackout dates?
Most properties have peak-season or special-event blackout dates, and availability tightens when a hotel’s forecasted occupancy is high. Therefore, always check Hyatt.com for your specific dates before purchase.
8. Can I combine the FRIEND rate with points, Free Night Awards, or other promotions?
No. The FRIEND rate is a cash-only rate, so you cannot combine it with points redemptions, Free Night Awards, or other promotional offers.
